I WAS FORTUNATE TO MEET OUR SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST WHEN I WAS STUDYING IN KOTHAMANGALAM ENGINEERING COLLEGE. SUBSEQUENT TO THAT THROUGH THE PRAYER MEETINGS IN THE COLLEGE. I TOOK THE FIRST STEPS OF MY SPIRITUAL LIFE. DURING THAT PERIOD ISSAC SIR (PASTOR MP ISSAC) HAD STARTED FELLOWSHIP MEETINGS AND CHURCH MEETINGS ALONG WITH A GROUP OF ENGINEERS AND STAFF.

IN 1972 I WAS BAPTISED BY PASTOR M .V CHACKO. THE CHURCH OF ISSAC SIR HAD GOOD RELATION WITH THE OVERSEER A V ABRAHAM AND SUBSEQUENT OVERSEERS. FROM 1977 ONWARDS HAD A WARM SPIRITUAL RELATIONSHIP WITH PASTOR P.A.V SAM.

BECAUSE I WAS ATTRACTED BY THE MINISTRY AND THE EVANGELICAL WORK OF ISSAC SIR, I WORKED WITH HIM AND BECAME A PARTNER OF HIS MINISTRY. BECAUSE ISSAC SIR WAS OFFICIALLY TRANSFERRED TO PERUMBAVOOR. ALWAYE, ERNAKULAM ETC. HE STARTED FELLOWSHIP GATHERINGS IN ALL THOSE PLACES.

IN 1987 ISSAC SIR HAD HIS RESIDENCE IN ALWAYE AND THAT STARTED HIS MINISTRY IN ERNAKULAM AREA.

IN 1989 ONWARDS HE STARTED SUNDAY WORSHIP. ALTHOUGH HE HAD CHURCH WORSHIP IN MANY PLACES BECAUSE HE HAD HIS PERMANENT RESIDENCE IN KAKKANAD HE SHIFTED HIS WORSHIP TO KAKKANAD.

WHEN ISSAC SIR STARTED HIS MINISTRY IN ERNAKULAM IT WAS CONDUCTED AS A PART OF AFFLIATED CHURCH OF GOD. AFTER FAITHCITY CHURCH CAME INTO EXISTENCE IT IS AFFILIATED TO THE CHURCH OF GOD AS A MAJOR CHURCH (CONTRIBUTOR).

ISSAC SIR WHOM I LOVED THE MOST WAS TAKEN TO GLORY FROM HIS EARTHLY ABODE IN 1993. HIS UNEXPECTED DEPATURE WAS A SHOCK TO THE CHURCH. THE CHURCH WAS PERPLEXED AS TO WHAT TO DO THE NEXT. BUT THE HOLY SPIRIT ANNOINTED ME AND STRENGTHENED ME TO CONTINUE THE MINISTRY THAT MIGHTY SERVANT OF GOD STARTED. IT WAS THE BEGINNING OF THE JOURNEY TOWARDS THE GREAT VISION OF FAITHCITY CHURCH.

MORE PEOPLE JOINED CHURCH MEETING IN ISSAC SIR’S HOUSE, THE LARGE HALL IN HOUSE BECAME FULL SOON. WHEN SPACE BECAME A GREAT PROBLEM WE SHIFTED THE WORSHIP TO FACT GENERAL MANAGER DANIEL POTHENS HIRED PROPERTY IN COMPANYPADY NEAR ALWAYE IN 1995.  WE BUILT A TEMPORARY SHED IN THAT PROPERTY AND SHIFTED THE CHURCH MEETINGS AND OTHER FELLOWSHIP MEETINGS TO THAT PLACE.

WHEN THE CHURCH WAS IN COMPANYPADY, THE EARLY MORNING PRAYER MEETINGS BECAME A MILESTONE IN THE HISTORY OF THE CHURCH. THOSE PRYERS CONTINUED FOR ONE YEAR AND THAT HELPED THE GROWTH OF THE CHURCH. WITH IN TWO YEARS THE TEMPORARY SHED IN COMPANYPADY BECAME FULL.

BY THE GRACE OF GOD IN 1997 WE BOUGHT A PROPERTY IN NELSON MANDELA ROAD NEAR PUTHIYA ROAD JUNCTION KALAMASSERY. WE BUILT A CHURCH THERE AND SHIFTED OUR WORSHIP TO THAT CHURCH. WHEN PEOPLE SAW THE WONDERFUL WORKS OF GOD AND HEARD THE TRUE WORD OF GOD, MANY PEOPLE WERE ADDED TO THE CHURCH.THE CHURCH BUILDING  WAS EXPANDED TWO TIMES TO ACCOMMODATE PEOPLE WHEN WE FOUND WE NEEDED A BIGGER BUILDING WE BOUGHT THE PROPERTY NEAR THE CHURCH AND COMPLETED THE PRESENT CHURCH IN 2004 DECEMBER 31^ST BY THE BLESSING OF GOD. NOW WE CONDUCT CHURCH MEETINGS AND OTHER GATHERING IN THE PRESENT CHURCH.

THE MEMBER OF THE CHURCH IN GREATER COCHIN AREA AND IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF ERNAKULAM DISTRICT AND THE SPECIAL WORK CULTURE OF THE CHURCH MAKES  THE CONSTITUTION OF THE CHURCH VERY DIFFERENT BECAUSE  IT CANNOT PERSONALLY MEET EVERY BELEIVER OF THE CHURCH AND ALSO BECAUSE THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE MEMBERS OF THIS BIG CHURCH IS NOT EASY . WE HAVE DIVIDED THE CHURCH INTO ZONES, AREAS, UNITS, HOUSE CHURCHES AND CELLS.

NOW THERE ARE FOUR 3 ZONES, 10 AREAS, 19 UNITS, 41 HOUSE CHURCHES AND MANY PRAYER CELLS ARE FUNCTIONAL IN AND OUTSIDE GREATER COCHIN AREA. ABOUT 72 MINISTERS ARE LEADING THESE MINISTRIES. THE FOURTH ZONE IS THE EXTERNAL ZONE WHICH CONSTITUTE 18 BRANCH CHURCHES.

IN 2004 THE YOUTH WING OF THE FAITHCITY CHURCH CALLED Y4C (YOUTH FOR CHRIST) WAS FORMED. A PART FROM YOUTH MEETINGS, YOUTH CAMPS, GOSPEL TOURS, CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAMS, ENGLISH WORSHIP THE Y4C MEMBERS VISITED OLD AGE HOMES, ORPHANAGES AND DESTITINTE HOUSES AND CONDUCTED MEETINGS THERE. THEY EXTENDED HELPING HANDS TO FLOODED AREAS, NATURAL CALAMITIES AFFECTED AREAS AND PITIABLE SITUATIIONS.

THE DEPATMENTS OF YPE, SUNDAY SCHOOL & VBS WORK FOR THE SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF YOUTH.

WE STARTED THE MEDIA MINISTRY BY DISTRIBUTING AUDIO CASETS. THEN IT WAS EXPANDED TO VIDEO RECORDING, TELEVISION BROAD CASTING, AND ONLINE MEETINGS TO HELP EVANGELISATION.

OUR  MUSIC DIVISION STARTED BY BUYING A TRIPPLE DRUM IN 1995

Now we have all types of musical instruments and computerized sound control to help the high standard of the choir

Church meetings are the most important programme of the church. Every Sunday, sunday school starts at 8.30 a.m. Classes are held for children and elders. hundreds of children, youth and elders participate in their classes. The church worship starts at 10 and ends at 1.00 p.m. Our food department provides, kanji, payar and pickle to everybody after the worship.

After the church meeting members does tract distribution in the different parts of Ernakulam and do personal evangelism work. We also have evening worship every Sunday near vytilla junction(PAUSED).

Another important meeting of Faith city church is the deliverance meeting conducted at AJ hall, Kaloor.

During 1995-96, I started a special prayer meeting in my house near Model Engineering college. That was started for the relief of people who were going through difficult situations. When space was not enough to accommodate people, that meeting was shifted to  Maria park near Palarivattom and then to AJ Hall, Kaloor. From then onwards deliverance meetings were held in AJ Hall. People who were facing desperate situations, who were facing difficult problems in life did experience deliverance through these meetings.

Holy Spirit gave a vision of our meditation centre when we were praying over it, God showed a plot in karukutty in 2005.It was a close down bone crushing factory and the property adjacent to it. We bought it and started the meditation centre there .

2006 onwards meditation meetings were started. In the beginning father Joseph Manackal took the leadership for those meetings.

After his death, for a few years shekinah meditation classes were conducted there. From 2014 onwards Faith city started 6 days-long Charis meditation meetings and it is continued till date. During the past years, hundreds of people received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. During these meetings, they found peace and joy in their life, many received healing and deliverance from demon possessions, many got relief from drinking and drugs and many go relief from social and financial problems. Now they enjoy a blessed Christian life.

The B school started at karukutty in 2008 gives training in many skills, teach God’s word ,build their character and help them build the nation for youth coming from different states of india.

This campus also conduct eco-friendly farming. We cultivate vegetables without using pesticides and employ scientific farming. We also rear domestic and does fish farming in the campus which shows our dedication to the nature and the nation.

The church from it’s onset did evangelisation and gospel tours. When our church was in kakkanad we visited many houses and introduced Christ to them after that our work was expanded to many areas in Ernakulam. We conducted street meetings, house visiting, house prayers etc.

With the help of Br. Koshy Varghese, we did a gospel tour up to Kasargod. we did the first outstation gospel work in Rajpuram at Kasargod.

The gospel tour to Gujrat, Bihar, U.P., and M.P. was the first step of evangelization in North India. After that gospel tours were conducted to many states. The church also took active part in national prayer meetings. From 2016 onwards we conducted prayers in many parts of Bundelkhand U.P., Fatepur, Mirsapur and other places. Members of the church travel to these places and conduct prayer throughout the yeer.

Youth of the church and some families travel to Demam, the headquarters of Jesus mission and joined in prayers and gospel work. In connection with prayer conducted in 100 cities in India. 62 members of church went to many towns in Gujrat and joined 72 hours dating prayer. Apart from these we conducted many gospel tours.

In 2019, we made a magnificent gospel tour from February 15 to March 18 in a bus from Cape Comorin to Kashmir through many states of India which a memorable event.

God provided many vehicles to the church for gospel work. The Toyota qualis we bought for gospel travel did more than 7 lakh kilometre within few years . A lorry converted as a travelling stage which we called king’s caravan is used a stage to spread the gospel and to give awareness to social evils like drugs Using the kings caravan we go to Junctions, beaches, hilly places & cities give messages to bring Awareness  about social evils and spread the gospel Kings Caravan was used to stage small dramas to bring awareness about social evils and the good near of the love of Jesus

To conduct family camps ones in a year is a speciality of Faith city church Pas ezekiel joshua was the chief guest in the family camp in the YMCA compus at The thottumugam Alwaye in 1995. His message enabled the church to grow Spiritually. Even today messages influence the church After that family camps were conducted in many other places 1996&97 Plamudy, 1998. Alwaye, 1999 Devikalam, 2002 charal konnu 2001 chenkotta, 2002 Kumali, 2003 kalpatta, 2005 kovalam, 2006 kuttikkanam, 2007 Marangathupalli

2015 Munnar, 2018 ootty, The main speaker in these camps Were Church of God overseer Pas. PAV sam, Pas ve itty, Pas kc john, pas M kunjappy, Pas P.J. James and Pas c.c. Thomas Apart fromDr Muralidhar, Dr. D. Joshua, Pas. Mathew P Thomas, Pas P.M Varkey, Evangeliet saju Mathew, Pas Ps. Philip Pas VT Abraham, Ev. M. Paulose, Pas Y Reji, saji Mathew, Major Luke, Br. PT Thomas, Br. L. Sam, Pas  VT Abraham were also speakers in these camps.

From 2007 we conducted Mega programmes of Mighty Thunder. These were conducted at Ernakulam, Palghat and Trivandrum. in 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2011. Famous christian musicians Vijay Benidict, Anilkant, stephen Devassy, Bhakta Valsam, Kuttiachan, Jolly Abraham. Elezabeth Raju, Binoychacko, K. Markose, Thanjavoor Williams, and other’s performed in this programmes Music Composers like Muttam geevargese, Thomas Mathew, Sam Maghathala came to our church and gave music concert

Another vision God gave was a permanent campsite. God arranged to buy a plot at Kuttikkanam Idukki. Camp site construction is yet to be completed.

Charity work of the church is done in different levels. Financial help and other helps are done by the church. built houses for the homeless. did repair of the houses and does many other social helps.

During the great flood we provided food for many week  to the neighbours, people who Came to our campus three times a day we provided all help to those who suffered from the flood.

Angamali Little flower hospital Lions club and church medical team also help in conducting these camps. Apart from this we do free eye testing and cataract operations and connected services free of charge.

We are joining with other denominations also in gospel work.

During our trip to Mysore, God gave a vision and that culminated in Bhonke crusade. All the pentacostal churches joined together in constructing that. The Bhonke crusade of 1998 was attended by lakhs of people and that resulted in a christian spiritual reformation. Faith city church and its ministers came together in giving leadership in that mega crusade. It was the biggest crusade Kerala has ever seen.

The united Indian prayer for India (UCPI) conducted in 2016 at Nedumbassery CIAL convention centre was led by Faith city church. Apart from Pentacostal churches, other denominations including catholic church joined in that, which was a great step forward. If God helps, we wish to conduct similar prayer conferences together with other denominations.

The secret of the growth of Faith city church ia the sincere cooperation of all the members including the children,youth and elders. Everybody joins in different ministries of the church.

Faith city church members love God without any conditions which helps them to get life’s blessings, healings. As a result they have spiritual favour to work for the kingdom of God and they work hard towards that goal.

Faith city church has completed 25 years in Lord’s service. The church is marching forward depending only on God’s grace. We hope that the vision that every district of Kerala will have  branch of the church will be fulfilled. We wish that every state in India will have a branch of the church. We also wish to have scriptural training centres in all the states in corporation with other spiritual organisations and also to conduct camps and devotional meetings.

We are prepared to go forward according the vision given by God.

The mercy of God is the reason for all the progress. Faith city church depend only on the grace of God towards our march forward. That is our hope and trust.

We bestow all glory to the slaughtered lamb.
